Fluid loves mobile gaming. With more quality titles than ever to play from your pocket, there’s never been a better time to be a mobile gamer - or to work with the developers behind some of the best games in the industry. With the Pocket Gamer Connects conference fast approaching, we thought we’d take a quick look at some of our best work on mobile.

PUBG NEW STATE

We were delighted to help the team at Krafton with the logo and brand guidelines for PUBG New State, only the second instalment to the franchise after the global phenomenon PUBG: Battlegrounds released back in early 2017. This new addition to the series would take more of a sci-fi approach than its predecessor, taking place in the year 2051 in a battletorn, futuristic island called Troi.

Krafton wanted the logo for New State to retain elements of the classic PUBG brand identity, whilst at the same time embracing the anarchy of Troi’s playground - as can be seen in the airbrushed ‘A’, as though rebelling from the rest of the familiar PUBG script.

The full brand guidelines then focused on logo rules, placements around key art and social assets, fonts, colour palettes, video guidelines and several other elements to ensure the global PUBG and Krafton teams knew how to best present the brand across all different formats.

STAR WARS: HUNTERS

An exciting new IP from Zynga, Star Wars: Hunters pits the galaxy’s best competitors against one another in the arenas of the planet Verspaara. Players are able to choose from a range of tactically diverse Hunters, all with their own unique personalities and abilities, to engage in thrilling third person combat across battlegrounds that evoke iconic Star Wars worlds.

Zynga approached Fluid to create a website that reflected the personality and diversity of the titular Hunters, and helped to build an engaged community of fans prior to the game’s 2023 launch.

After working on the landing page of the site, we proceeded to build dedicated character profile pages for each of the Hunters. Each profile has its own unique animations and content, with Hunters’ backstories, relationships, and gameplay capture of their top abilities in action all being shown. We wanted to help Zynga build the lore for this new addition to the Star Wars universe, and give players an early idea of which Hunters they’d gravitate towards based on their play styles and personalities.

As well as presenting the new Hunters in all their glory, we added pre-registration unlocks to the website for audiences to sign up and be rewarded with exclusive in-game content at launch.

Zynga wanted to extend this strategy further to content creators, so we created a sign up form specifically for them to apply for the Star Wars: Hunters Creator Program. The Fluid team developed a purpose built platform for Zynga to manage creator applications and the program going forward.

If a creator is accepted onto the programme and platform, they can connect their Twitch and game accounts to view their streaming and viewership stats on our custom dashboard, download bespoke assets and Twitch overlays, be notified of upcoming tournaments and events - and much more!

We’re thrilled to have built the website and influencer platform for a brand new entry to the Star Wars universe, and can’t wait to battle it out with our favourite Hunters once the game releases.

CSR 2

We love working with the Zynga on trailers for the most popular drag racing game of all time, CSR 2.

The videos below were created by Fluid’s motion department, with the first showcasing CSR 2’s roadmap for 2022. The video includes a mixture of some awesome gameplay capture, motion graphics, animations and text slates to get the CSR community excited for the year ahead.

Of course, these are just a couple of the projects we’ve worked on with CSR 2 - another of our favourites was a trailer to promote Ken Block’s Electrikhana event, which you can read more about in our highlights of 2022 blog!
